BEST Oat Milk: Drank and Ranked
I drank 7 cartons of Oat milk drinks in the last 2 weeks and ranked them from least favourite to the most โ YOU ARE WELCOME.
If you are not already aware of it, dairy-free plant alternatives to cowโs milk are now super mainstream and have been taking over our coffee shops. They are available for purchase in any supermarket in the UK, i.e. Sainsbury, Waitrose, Tesco etc. You may need them as your diet has changed and you feel uneasy with lactose. Or maybe you just like them because they are indeed very delicious – like me! ๐
Therefore, to provide my dedication to Casa du Duchess and this Oats Series, I walked at least 400 metres carrying supermarket bags with 7 milk cartons and other stuff. Iโm an idiot for doing so, but I donโt kid around when I say, โI take my hobby very seriously.โ
7. Rude Health Oat Drink, ยฃ2.00
The carton clearly states that there is โNo artificial anythingsโ, but somehow that also deciphers to no oat taste too. The drink is very thin and watery, it certainly lacks flavour. In fact, weirdly, it tasted a little like soy milkโฆ A little disappointing, because I did like Rude Healthโs almond drink.
Ingredients: Spring Water, Organic Pure Oats (11%), Sea Salt
Nutrition per 100ml: Calories: 35k / Fat 0.7g / Saturated fat: 0.2g / Carbohydrate: 6.1g / Sugars (natural): 4.1g / Fibre: 0.3g / Protein: 0.8g
6. Minor Figures Oat M*lk, ยฃ1.95
Apparently MF specializes in developing dairy-free alternative โmilksโ for baristas. Unfortunately, I had this oat drink with coffee many times and Iโm sorry to say that I didnโt like it at all. The upside is that the milk indeed did not split and foamed alright when frothed. Also, drinking it as a drink itself was not as bad actually.
Ingredients: Water, Oats (10%), Low Erucic Acid Rapeseed Oil, Tricalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Salt

5. Plenish Organic Oat Dairy Free Milk, ยฃ2.50
The drink was a little more translucent, hence slightly more watery than creamy. The drink was pleasant but it was definitely more of an unsweetened drink than milk.
Ingredients: Water, Oats 11%, Sea Salt
Nutrition per 100ml: Calories: 41k / Fat 0.6g / Saturated fat: 0.1g / Carbohydrate: 7.8g / Sugars (natural): 1.2g / Fibre 0.3g / Protein: 0.9g
4. Provamel Oat Drink, ยฃ1.89
Honestly Provamel and Plenish are tied. Provamel is less translucent and creamier than Plenish. It was tasty, though there was a small tiny hint of tarnish and a slightly artificial taste.
Ingredients: Water, Oat (12%), Sunflower Oil, Dietary Fibre (Inulin), Sea Salt
Nutrition per 100ml: Calories: 47k / Fat: 1.3g / Saturated fat: 0.5g / Carbohydrate: 8.1g / Sugars (natural): 3.9g / Fibre: 0.8g / Protein: 0.3g
3. Alpro Chilled Oat, ยฃ1.60
This drink was also less translucent and creamier. It had a really delicious soft and natural taste, which goes really well with a bowl of cereal.
Ingredients: Water, Oat (10%), Dietary Fibre (Inulin), Sunflower Oil, Calcium (Tri-Calcium Phosphate), Sea Salt, Stabiliser (Gellan Gum), Vitamins (Riboflavin (B2), B12, D2)
Nutrition per 100ml: Calories: 44k / Fat: 1.5g / Saturated fat: 0.1g / Carbohydrate: 6.8g / Sugars (natural): 3.3g / Fibre: 1.4g / Protein: 0.3g
2. Oatly Oat Drink Whole, ยฃ1.80
Not even surprised, arenโt we? This drink tasted fabulous! It does not separate when frothed and is creamy with coffee. Besides that, it doesnโt have a particular or artificial flavour. It is also not too sweet and is amazing to drink on its own. This drink has brought honour and worthiness to the name of the brand.
Ingredients: Oat Base (Water, Oats 10%), Rapeseed Oil, Acidity Regulator (Dipotassium Phosphate), Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Phosphates, Iodised Salt, Vitamins (D2, Riboflavin and B12)
Nutrition per 100ml: Calories: 57k / Fat: 2.8g / Saturated fat: 0.3g / Carbohydrate: 6.6g / Sugars (natural): 4.1g / Fibre: 0.8g / Protein: 1g
1. Oatly Barista Edition, ยฃ1.85
The barista edition from Oatly is undoubtedly number one on my list. I love my oat latte in the mornings, and Oatly Barista Edition is the best with coffee yet. This drink is so popular that it occasionally sells out nationwide. It is creamy, with a non-watery consistency and froths up with no separation or cloudiness. Absolutely brie-li-ante! (guess the movieโฆ)

Oatly is truly the best! Your review is pretty accurate, or maybe we have similar taste palate. ๐
